Step 1: Contact APS Naples

Step 2: Site Survey

An expert member of our team will conduct your in person survey to provide a solution to fit your exact needs when it comes to your Generac generator. Our expert team member will help you with product knowledge and scheduling options during their on site assessment. Once the Generac generator is picked out the location should meet these guidelines.

 

  • Stable, well-drained area that will not flood, Room around the generator for the technician and maintenance personnel., Keep in mind homeowners association and community restrictions when choosing a site.
  • Clearances to keep in mind are  18 inches (1.5 feet) from the house, 60 inches (5 feet) from doors, windows, and fresh air intakes, 36 inches (3 feet) in front of the generator for servicing room

Step 3: Permitting and Project Review

Before installation day at your Naples, FL home or business; we will coordinate the approval and any required permits with the local municipality.  We will perform a comprehensive project review with you before the work begins so there are no surprises!

Step 4: Installation

Installation day is here for your new Generac backup generator! The site for the new generator will be prepared with a concrete slab, stand, or pea gravel and the generator will be installed on site. The fuel line will be connected and the transfer switch installed next to the main breaker box. The transfer switch sense where the power is coming from and shen to switch over to the generator's power. Lastly the generator will be tested to ensure everything is working properly prior to us cleaning up the project site.

Step 5: Post Installation Support
